Archangel Michael

Saint Archangel Michael is one of the most venerated angels and bodiless powers; he is called the Archistrategos—that is, the commander—of all the bodiless powers.

History of the Monastery

The exact century in which the monastery church was built is not known. It is believed that the monastery dates back to the 7th century. The surrounding areas have been inhabited since antiquity, as findings dating back as far as 4,000 years have been unearthed.
